The origin of "SMAG"
I attended a women's college near Boston, MA. For a certain party on campus, you could expect the boys to roll in from all the Boston-area schools, but the MIT frats showed up in droves. This particular party required a student escort: that meant that at least ONE boy had to know at least ONE girl on campus to get into the party. My friends and I were leaving our dorm for the party, when a girl down the hall asked if I could bring her friends to the party for her - she had to study, or didn't care to go, or was just over it. And before I knew it, 6 MIT boys were trailing us across campus to this party. It's worth noting that we were 5 or 6 Asian-Americans, and they were 5 Asian-Americans and 1 Latino dude. They stuck kind of close to us at the party, and we didn't try too hard to shake them. At the end of the night, we walked them all back to the Boston bus stop and got this gem of a phrase: SMAG.
